From Healing to Creating - A Journey That Began With Sensitive Skin

Enchanted Suds & Soapery began with a simple need: relief for sensitive skin. For years, I struggled with scalp psoriasis, irritation, dryness, and breakouts, never realizing that store-bought soaps were part of the problem.

Like many, I turned to dermatologists. I tried it all, expensive prescriptions, harsh medicated shampoos, chemical treatments, and pills only to be left disappointed, broke, and still uncomfortable in my own skin.

But everything changed in 2023 when I was placed on medical leave for 4½ months. That time gave me a gift I didn’t expect: space to research. And research I did, deep-diving into natural skincare, soapmaking, and how homemade ingredients could transform the skin.

I watched hundreds (maybe thousands) of videos, fascinated by the process and the nourishing ingredients. I’ve always been a crafter, but I had never crafted soap before. Something about it just spoke to me.

After a full year of learning and planning, I finally made my first batch. That first pour turned into a passion I couldn’t put down. I shared my creations with family and friends, and before long, their encouragement and gentle nudges convinced me to start a small business.

None of this would be possible without my incredibly supportive husband. He’s been by my side every step of the way, cheering me on, helping with markets, lifting heavy boxes, and reminding me that I’m capable, even on the hard days. Thanks to him, I’ve been able to pursue this dream wholeheartedly.

Today, Enchanted Suds & Soapery is a celebration of mindful craftsmanship and skin-loving care. Every bar is made with nourishing oils, gentle botanicals, and a whole lot of heart. I’ve never been happier, and my skin and hair have never been healthier.

Thank you for being here. I hope you find something that makes your skin feel as soft and cared for as mine does now.

Why Cold Process Soap?

Cold process soap is known for its gentle, skin-loving nature and luxurious lather. Unlike store-bought bars that are often filled with synthetic detergents and drying agents, cold process soap retains all the goodness, especially the natural glycerin, which helps draw moisture to your skin and keep it hydrated.

This traditional method allows for complete control over ingredients, making it ideal for those with sensitive skin. The result? A rich, nourishing bar that cleanses without stripping away your skin’s natural moisture barrier.

The Beauty of Small Batches

Every bar at Enchanted Suds & Soapery is made in small batches, not just for quality control, but for intention. Small batches allow for better precision, cleaner ingredients, more creativity, and personal attention in every step.

Each loaf is carefully poured, often swirled or topped by hand, then cut into bars once it has set. These bars are then placed on curing racks for at least 4 to 6 weeks, allowing them to harden naturally. This curing time ensures a longer-lasting bar with a milder pH, gentle enough for even the most delicate skin.

Ingredients That Care for Your Skin

I’m very intentional about what goes into each bar. I use skin-loving oils like olive, avocado, and coconut for their moisturizing and cleansing benefits, while rich butters like shea help soothe and soften. Castor oil adds a creamy, luxurious lather, and every addition whether it’s a botanical like rose petals or a gentle clay  is chosen to support your skin’s health, not just its appearance.

Every ingredient is selected with purpose, leaving out the harsh stuff your skin doesn’t need, like sulfates, synthetic detergents, and unnecessary fillers. What you get instead is a bar that looks beautiful, feels even better, and supports healthy, radiant skin with every use.
